I face the sea, it stretches calm and endless, and stretches wide beneath a sky where the clouds drift in slow procession and move like slow thoughts toward something else.
Glowing at their edges— lit by the dying light of day.
Beneath my feet the granite is smooth and old, worn by centuries of salt and silence.
I face the sea, in this northern evening the light fades slowly and are reluctant to leave.
In this long pause of summer twilight, I feel the world breathing with me, it is changing and becoming.
And though the day is ending, I know—this is not a closing, it’s a beginning wearing the shape of dusk.
On the horizon, soft pink cotton like clouds are forming, like a hint of something that’s just beginning, a shifting for tomorrow.
And though the sun is sinking, its light lingers in me, quiet and sure, like something just beginning.

This artwork is created in the meeting between memories and moods, and moves between the site-specific and the abstract. Untouched nature is the result of thousands of years of development. The drawing conveys nature's random idyll and brutal aesthetics, we see the raw beauty of the wild and undisturbed. The motif is a reminder of the passage of time and our fleeting lives.
Recreating a landscape on paper is much like telling a story through steep cliffs and rushing water. The tale of majestic mountains and friendly slopes are told by dry pigments rubbed into cotton paper until the whole surface is filled with colourful pigments that‘s creating images of recognisable shapes and places remembered. But its more than that, its a tale of life itself; It’s a soulscape and a reflection on human emotions.
“I like to revisit a specific place in my mind, translating the atmosphere it into a lyrical landscape with the use of colour. The abstraction allows me to incorporate the whole experience; incorporating the scent of warm earth, the sound of running water and whispers of wind. The landscape is dissolved and translated it into a colour mood and in this matter given a closeness to the soul”
