Colour Poetry 2

  • Size: 67 H x 48.5 W cm.

  • Watercolours and Dry pastels on paper.

This work departs from a vision of a curtain slowly swaying in a summer morning breeze. I remember in colours, drawing upon early childhood memories to create vibrant artworks. Glimpses of such colour moods are imprinted like images in an imaginary album of memories.

In this series, titled Colour Poetry, I rework watercolour paintings with bright hues using soft pastels, translating these early memories into distinct colour moods. The combination of watercolour and pastels creates a true colour poetry on a beautiful matte surface. This connection to colour is universally life-affirming and revitalising.
