My soft pastel paintings are like colourful stain glass windows where I weave the colours to pulsing abstractions, revealing a footprint of my mood using a  poetic palette to express colourful impressions.

I use handmade soft pastels that are made by entusiasts in Northumberland by Unison Colour. The pigments are pure and of the best quality, they are made to last.

"Kristin Holm Dybvig is a Norwegian artist. Her artworks are a mixture of lyrical landscapes and abstract color poetry based on memories and experiences. The love of color combined with a fascination for landscapes without traces of human activity are the main ingredients and inspiration for her artworks. The timelessness of the old landscapes unites the experience of past and present, the colors embody the subjective experience and elevate the subject from place to atmosphere."

I love the feeling of the dry pigments in my hands, moving and mixing them, creating shapes, edges or lines with my hands and fingers.
