I enjoy to reimagine a specific place or a recogniseable landscape into a lyrical landscape. Abstraction gives an infinite amount of freedom and possibilities. It’s almost limitless but the challenge is to create something uniquely interesting. It keeps me on my toes and makes my days enjoyably difficult.

Inspired by Fagrance; The scent of heather and green moss carried by clean mountain air. The tang of wetness from babbling brooks and vapour from waterfalls. The deep and aromas of wam earth at the sunlit slope. These are examples of fragrances that carries memories of places and moments that stays with you, they are like capsules that spring to life every time you recognise it and transports you back.

The landscape has been dissolved and translated into colour to express the experience of fragrance rather that a recognisable place. Here you find organic forms found in majestic mountains, dying leaves and babbling brooks coloured by the scents brought to me by the wind.

Abstract art provides freedom and possibilities both fro the creator and the viewer.

I use handmade soft pastels on 300 g cotton paper and finish it off with a thin layer of fixative. The surface is delicate and silky matte and needs the protection of glass. It ship flat packed in a box.
